A plot file is a data file containing instructions a cutter can understand. Plot files can be used to exchange outline data between other programs, for troubleshooting and for cutting data on a plotter that supports memory cards.
Wissen programs create plot files using the Cut command. This means you can create a plot file tailored to any cutter. If you want to use a plot file to transfer outlines to another program use the Generic HPGL driver.

To Create a Plot File
- From the File menu choose Cut or Cut selection. The Cut window appears.
- Click the Cut tab. Choose the cutter driver required from the Current cutter list.
- Click the Setup button. The driver options window appears:
Type a path and filename into the editbox labelled Connect. - Click OK.
- Click the Start button to create the plot file.
